DEAR ELITE DAILY:

Elite Daily wrote a "Campus Profile" about URI, most of which was hysterically accurate.  However, in the section about sororities the following was written about Chi Omega:
"Chi Omega – this is hands down the worst sorority. Not only are these girls repulsive, but the refuse to party. Do not ever go near Chi O."

The whole article can be found here:

Dearest Elite Daily,

I am a Chi Omega from the Lambda Beta Chapter at the University of Rhode Island.
I honestly would LOVE to know where you got your information from to label Chi Omega as URI's "Worst Sorority."  You must not be involved in Greek Life. I'm just making an educated guess due to your errors with Fraternity names, and if you are in Greek life.. well shame on you.. I have no words.

Chi Omega's at the University of Rhode Island pride themselves on six things: friendship, high standards, scholarship, campus activities, career development and community service, like every Chi Omega at every chapter across the United States.

We have just as much fun as every other sorority on campus. Who are you to judge or make assumptions about me, my house or my sisters!? Unless you have partied with any of us, you can't even begin to draw conclusions.  Where did you get your stereotypes from? CollegeACB?

Also, shame on you AGAIN for making judgments of other houses.  Even if you do know one girl in any of the Sororities you talked about, or if you know one guy in a Fraternity, that is not who the house is as a whole. One person does not make up an entire house. Their actions, thoughts, or words do not define what an entire chapter is.  You can never judge a book from it's cover (or anonymous comments on the internet); didn't your mother teach you anything?  Just because someone goes to church, it doesn't make them a saint.

Chi Omega at the the University of Rhode Island is a house full of wonderful women who are so diverse; and I am PROUD to call each and every one of them my sister.  Each girl offers something different to our chapter.  We do not all look a-like, yet, I believe each and every one of them is beautiful. Repulsive? Really? are we in sixth grade?

Every single girl in Chi Omega is involved in at least one other activity on campus, for example, the student senate president is a Chi Omega, as well as the President of Relay for Life.  Other sisters are on the Student Entertainment Committee, (you know, the board of students that got like, Avicii, Dayglow, and Steve Aoki ect.. to come to URI..) as well as tons of other organizations.  Chi Omega is the best of both words, academically and socially.

Oh, and lastly, if you want to come party at URI, let me know, so you can write a factual article.

xoxoxo

P.S. It's Sigma Pi, not "Simga Phi." And "Chi Sigma" is not a Fraternity, darling, Sigma Chi is.
